If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been around for a while, I’m really glad you’re still here. This post felt like the right place to officially say it out loud. I’m relaunching this space, and I want to share a little about how I got here and what’s coming next.


I grew up in Chico with a camera in my hand long before I ever thought photography could be a career. My first camera was a small 35mm film camera, and I photographed anything that caught my eye. Friends, sunsets, trees, everyday life. I didn’t realize it then, but I was learning how to see moments, not just images.


Before photography became my business, teaching became my calling. I’m a high school English teacher, and storytelling has always been at the center of what I do. When I had my first child, I bought my first digital camera because I wanted photos that felt real and meaningful. That’s when photography stopped being casual and started becoming intentional. One session led to another, and slowly, a business grew.


I’ve lived in Lodi for the past 12 years, and this community has shaped my work in the best way. The families, seniors, couples, and small businesses here have trusted me with their stories, and that trust is something I take seriously. My approach has always been simple. Make people feel comfortable. Let moments unfold naturally. Capture what’s real, not forced.
